I had the pleasure of capturing some family and sibling images at Joseph's senior portrait session. His sister was one of my seniors a couple of years ago and it was nice to see her again. His mother and I were discussing the fact that Joseph bears a striking resemblance to Zachary Quinto--especially when Quinto played Spock in the latest Star Trek incarnation. See for yourself!
This adventurous Lakeridge senior got into the fountain at Jamison Square Park in the Pearl at the end of her portrait session last week. Thankfully it was a warm afternoon so she wasn't freezing with her wet clothes on. It's always fun when people want to get wet during their portrait sessions--it brings a totally different dimension to the images. Of course, we did the water portion at the end of the session--there was lots to do before getting wet. Enjoy!
Sometimes things don't go quite as planned so it was a very long time between the maternity session and the newborn session for this family. But this sweet baby girl got her moment in front of my camera in my studio and we even got a scant few minutes with her big brother as well. He's not one for pictures, that's for sure. So meet Miss Kenzie, the beloved little sister of Shelby and Paxton. :)
This is the third in-hospital newborn session I've done for this family and each one of these babies has been so sweet and darling! This one--baby Clara--is a ringer for her sister Savannah. While I was at the hospital, we were comparing photos I took of Savannah at the hospital a couple of years ago and they could be the same baby! Big brother Henry was so sweet with his new baby sister. He did a great job holding the baby and being very gentle and kind to her. Congratulations Newman family!
This young man with the gorgeous blue eyes is the younger brother of one of my senior clients from a few years back. On the day we did his session at Champoeg Park, the pollen was strong and we had to end the session early because his poor eyes just couldn't take it. We met again a week later, antihistamines on board, and had a great session. I loved how his rich blue eyes would just sparkle in the gorgeous light at the park but my favorite images came at the very end when we were sort of goofing around and talking and laughing. Enjoy!
He's here and he's sweet and he's beautiful! And he's one of the calmest babies I've ever photographed as a newborn. His family is completely in love with him and his big sister Lia is so tender and gentle with him. It was such a fun morning yesterday at the Siemen's house as we captured precious moments with this tiny new life. And as a bonus, while mommy fed Adam, my assistant Jordyn and I spent some time playing with Lia and reading books. I have a new favorite children's book--it's Pinkalicious and it's darling!
I first met this little sweetheart when I did her newborn portraits a few years ago and it was such a delight to get reacquainted with her at a family maternity session. Lia was so much fun--very chatty and entertaining and full of energy and life. So much fun! I'll be seeing her again next week as we take her baby brother's newborn portraits. I'm sure she is a very sweet and attentive big sister.
